Iran Oscar winner leads Portugal masterclass

Internationally accredited Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi has held a masterclass on the sidelines of New Directors/ New Films Festival in Portugal. 

The Training Ground section of the event which arranges top of the line masterclasses hosted double Oscar winner Farhadi.

Iran great director won his first Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film with 'A Separation' in 2012.

In 2017, 'The Salesman' brought him the second Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.

Farhadi’s latest film 'Everybody Knows' starring Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz premiered at 2018 edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Training Ground event at the New Directors/New Films Festival kicked off on June 19, 2018 and will wrap up on June 24, 2018 in the Portuguese city of Espinho.
